Daylight Atheism was down for about two hours earlier today due to a coding error I made, so my apologies for that. Nothing was lost or damaged, and the site should now be restored to full functionality.

The good news is that the reason I’ve been revising code is to handle the steadily increased traffic this site has been experiencing. Daylight Atheism is now seeing over 2,000 visitors per day on average, and recorded its 300,000th hit earlier this month. Both total and unique hit counts have been increasing every month since I launched this site back in February. Although this is certainly a very good thing, it does mean that my database has to be restructured to deal with the traffic, which is what I’m currently working on. I’ll do my best to minimize any further disruptions.

Clearly, this steady growth shows that there is a great interest in the atheist viewpoint, a viewpoint that most traditional media sources have fallen far short of representing fairly or effectively. So long as there is a demand, I’ll be happy to supply that viewpoint. In just a few short days, Daylight Atheism will officially be entering its second year of operation, and rest assured, I have a very long list of topics remaining to discuss. Onward!
