So, if this is the sort of thing that interests you, I've created a page for Daylight Atheism on Facebook. If you'd like to sign up as a fan, do so with my blessing, and help spread the word!

At the moment, the page contains nothing but the RSS feed for this site. That may change, if I can think of any worthwhile information about me or about the site to put there. Suggestions welcomed.

Great to see you on facebook. The exposure is sure to help, even tho it might bring some more loons (after all, no need to tell you how even mentioning the word "atheist" seems to bring out the "best" in religious folk!)

I don't blame you for that, Andrew (#7). Facebook definitely has its disadvantages, chiefly weak privacy protection and lack of any fine-grained access control (as evidenced by a certain spamming troll whom I've already had to ban several times).

That said, I'm surprised and very pleased by how strong a response this has drawn, so whether I like it or not, this may be the wave of the future. Certainly, it can only help my traffic stats to have a point of presence on the major social networking sites. We'll have to wait and see how this develops.

Oh, yes: I've added a few of the obvious organizations as favorites from my page. Anyone care to suggest some more for me to add?

I am pleased to join you on facebook, although I only go on Atheist sites.
Religion is great if you want to learn how to hate your neighbour for their beliefs.
You cannot pick and choose what you take from the Bible.
Anyway their god hates me and wants me to go to hell. Although I think the queue would be too long in order to keep up with abusive priests, so I would rather believe there is no heaven and hell
If religion is so great why are they killing each other, helping to end it for good..

For anyone who's interested, I also have a personal page on Facebook now. I don't know what, if anything, I'm going to do with that page just yet, but I figure it can't hurt to have it. Feel free to send me a friend request and justify my existence. :)

Let the record note that I suggested Adam do this several months ago, and even asked his permission to make as fan page, if he didn't want to! So I should get the credit! lol ;D

The real problem with FB is it's such a time waster if you're not at least a bit disciplined with it. Hide as many apps, quizzes. games and such as come your way and just keep tabs on the status and news feeds and it can be useful. It is a good general broadcaster ("friend" me and you'll know every event on at my pub, which if you're not within 20 miles of Ashford, Kent UK will be pretty useless to you). Greta makes pretty good use of hers so it's not all bad.
