Vote for Daylight Atheism for the 3QD 2010 Science Prize

You may remember that last year, I won the 2009 science writing prize awarded by 3 Quarks Daily. Well, the 2010 contest is now open, and once again I'm in the running. Best of all, this year the celebrity judge is Richard Dawkins, which would make it especially sweet to win a repeat victory. Readers, are you willing to help me out?

Jen - I accept groupie votes. :) That said, the top 20 vote-getters all move on to the semifinal round, so I think my chances of getting at least that far are pretty good. Then it's up to the 3QD editors to pick six finalists, and finally Richard Dawkins makes his choices.

I did read a few of the entries at random. There's some interesting stuff but what I found was quite dry and "sciencey" without the passion and poetry of Ebon's entry.
I think this entry has a good chance with R.D. Seems squarely in his comfort zone.

Excellent essay, Adam - and with the subtle nod to The Ancestors' Tale in the last para, it's a cert to win! ;-)
