This isn’t the end of America’s problems. There will be challenges ahead, and setbacks, and disappointments. But for now, we can celebrate. Let’s cheer for the downfall of fascism, the downfall of rank white supremacy, of belligerent cruelty and extravagant corruption and wild incompetence. All of that is receding into the rear view mirror. In a few short weeks, Joe Biden will be the new president, and Donald Trump will be a thing of the past.
