Thanks to all who attended the meetup in Chicago this past weekend! As always, it was a pleasure to meet and talk to the real people who read Daylight Atheism, including one who made a very long drive to attend. (I still find it weirdly flattering that people are interested in meeting me.) I also got my first taste of real Chicago deep-dish pizza, which was delicious although - sorry, I'm a New Yorker to the bone - I still prefer the New York thin-crust variety.

Daylight Atheism San Francisco Meetup

So, are there any Daylight Atheism readers in that gorgeous, godless city by the bay?

This coming Martin Luther King Jr. Day weekend, January 14th to 17th, I'm going to be in San Francisco to see friends and do some sightseeing. And since past Daylight Atheism reader meetups in Los Angeles and St. Louis have gone very well, I'd be glad to do it again. Quick Note on Facebook

Just an FYI: The Daylight Atheism site page on Facebook will no longer be updated. I tried it out for a few months, but I wasn't happy with the results: the administrator controls were poorly designed and hard to use, Facebook's staff was unresponsive when I had issues, and the page didn't send much traffic here anyway.

I wanted to write a quick post to thank all the Daylight Atheism readers who were able to attend yesterday's meetup in Pasadena. We got a great crowd together, and it was a thrilling experience to meet you all and to finally be able to match names with faces, and I'm greatly appreciative for the warmth, good company, and great conversation. Three weeks from now, on the weekend of September 5, I'm going to be in California to attend a friend's wedding. The weekend is booked solid, but my flight back to New York leaves from Los Angeles on Tuesday the 8th, and I'll have that Monday free.
